About the Executive Director
Prior to joining the Senior Living industry, I started working with teenagers and families in need. We developed the first ‘teen center’ in Medford Oregon. I was part of the Medford Parks and Recreation department for approximately 5 years and found a love of advocating for people who needed a voice. While growing the teen center I started my own personal journey with going to college at age 28. I started attending Rogue Community College; I accomplished getting my AA degree, where I then transferred to Southern Oregon University and majored in Business Administration and a minor in Communications. I then went to work for Community Works which is a social service agency developing a facility for families in need. The facility provided services for the whole family called “The Grove Resource Center.”
I then went to work for Asante Health System developing School Based Health Centers in Jackson County and focused on advocacy. I was blessed to work with the Kellogg Foundation and spent time in Salem, Oregon and Washington DC to work with our Senators and Congressman to help make positive change. Together we were able to help get the “Leave No Child Behind” bill passed for families and children in need. In 2006, my grant for the School Based Health Center was over and my husband got a transfer to Roseburg, Oregon. We then moved to Roseburg where I started my career in Senior Living.
I have operated senior living communities since 2008. When the opportunity came for me to join the Mosaic Management Inc. team as the new Executive Director for The Oaks @ Nipomo, I was excited for the new opportunity and relocated to Nipomo, CA. Damon, my husband of 29 years, Jake, our Jack Russell Terrier, Ebbie our chihuahua/welch-corky and Kali our family cat packed up and moved and settled in our new home. We are on a quest and we are very happy to be a part of the Mosaic Management Inc. Team and the Nipomo community.
